Sizing tips:
- Always choose your size based on waist and chest measurements first – height and weight are only a secondary reference. If your height is slightly outside the range but your waist and chest fit a size, pick that size: the vest is cut longer than most, so coverage will still be more than enough.
-
If you are between two sizes, it is generally better to have the vest **slightly tighter at the waist than too tight across the chest and sternum**. A snug waist is fine as long as you can close it comfortably, but too much pressure on the ribcage can make breathing and long rides uncomfortable.
How to measure (please read before choosing your size)
To get the right size, it’s important to measure correctly:
-
Clothing
-
Take your measurements on bare skin or over a very thin, tight T-shirt/base layer.
-
Don’t measure over hoodies, jackets or loose clothing.
-
-
Breathing – find a neutral point
-
Stand relaxed, looking straight ahead, arms down by your sides.
-
Exhale fully, then take a full inhale, and finally let the air out again until you feel a natural, neutral mid-point – not fully inhaled, not fully forced out.
-
Hold that neutral breathing point and take your measurements there.
This is the position that best represents how your chest and waist move when you’re riding.
-
-
Waist (for sizing)
-
Measure at the belly button height, around the narrowest part of your abdomen.
-
Keep the tape horizontal and snug, but not digging into the skin.
-
-
Chest at sternum (for sizing)
-
Measure under the pectorals, around the ribcage, passing over the sternum (breastbone).
-
This is the area where the vest compresses and needs to match our size ranges.
-
Don’t measure high over the bulk of the pecs or over loose clothing – that number is less accurate for sizing the armor.
-
*NOTES:
The S/M & S/M Wide size doesn´t have zipper at the back pockets.
** S/M & L/XL Compression Base Layers fits all Vests sizes **
